You came.  You learned. You're hooked.

I get it!

It took one New Year's eve for me to find myself absolutely in love with cookie decorating. It's all I thought about, dreamed about, searched the web about, for months.

Then I made my first sale and it was ON. Make a little money doing what I love? YES, PLEASE.

There's definitely a learning curve. But here's a list of some of the items that I've found make it all a bit easier.

Ps. I am an Amazon Associate; so if it's an item listed on Amazon, I may get a small commission at no extra charge to you, if you buy.

Piping Bags

Your piping experience is truly only as good as your piping bag. If you've attended my Kookie class, these are the piping bags you used. They come in sizes 12"-18" and I've literally never had one burst.

Baking Pans

NOTE: THE COLOR OF YOUR BAKING PAN MATTERS!

This might be obvious to most but I had no idea when I started and I burnt quite a few batches before realizing the issue. So now, I always recommend a lighter colored baking sheet. This is what I use.

Meringue Powder

Taming the "toddler" that is Royal Icing starts with a good base. I've tried several and this, for now is my favorite.

Speaking of Rollin' Deaux

Another component of getting the perfect thickness every time is rolling the dough between two silicone mats. The "Silpat" is most recommended in the cookie world, but I've used Amazon brand with few problems.

*You can also place these mats onto a cookie sheet and bake directly on them. This will help keep the cookie shape completely intact.

Rolling Pin

Though we don't cover the dough part much in a regular class, the recipe you received from me does indicate rolling the dough to a certain depth. This rolling pin was one of my first purchases for that very reason and it's yet to steer me wrong.
